Upper Antelope Canyon, also known as 'The Crack', is located on the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation Reservation east of Page, AZ.  Known as a 'slot' canyon, it continues to be formed by the erosion of Navajo Sandstone primarily due to flash flooding especially during monsoon season.   The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon is Tsé bighánílíní, which means "the place where water runs through rocks."  'flowing' shapes in the rock.
